I would go with the bigger heads. They should help control detonation at hi boost levels due to the lower comp ratio. If your goal is 1000rwhp, you will need an F series. I hope to hit around 700 with my D, but then I'm not really pushing it. I don't want it to

And the FMIC will be a must at that level too. You may want meth to keep it safe & add a little more hp. And while tuning FI is an art, once you get it dialed in, it's fine. If you're having Bob set it up for you, you shouldn't have any problems. He knows his stuff.

One more opinion, I like iron blocks for boost, but the SLPs had issues a while back. I'd call Scoggin Dickey. The short block I got from them was superbly setup. And get ARP bolts/studs for EVERYTHING!

I noticed that no one mentioned that the lower radiator support has to be moved forward to get more clearance for the inlet of the head unit if he wants to install an air filter. I pieced my F1R kit together. I had to buy a SDCE pulley upgrade and F-body bracket because the original was for a 'vette. It came with a Spearco 1500cfm W/A intercooler, water pump, lines, heat exchanger, and a small tank (for a 'vette.) I had to buy more aluminum tubing and silicone couplers along with an ATI Damper.

What cam and intake are you planning on running with? I was going to use a set of PP Stg2 heads, but I was afraid my HP goals would give me head gasket problems. So now I am looking at a set of ported Dart heads from TEA that has the thicker deck. I don't if you could spin a F1R slow enough. The previous owner of the F1R used the factory crank pulley and 4.75" blower pulley. I guess he got by with it. I would build the motor first with the blower, then install it one time in the car.

Can anyone tell me about how much Hp i can make with a 402 iron block about 9:1 Compression, stage 3 heads, a blower cam from EPP, headers, F-1A Procharger, Front intercooler, Better hat for ths F-1A, 8 rib, pully setup, and a Big fuel system.

I'm looking for Rough estamates on HP with and without Metonal Injection!
Also how much boost will I be able to run with and without Metonal?

How can I put "fail safes" on my methonal kit so I don't blow the motor if The lines plug up of the methonal pump fails?

Thanks for any info you can give me!!!

It seems to me that Snow Performance offers a system that releases boost if the meth isn't flowing. If memory serves me correctly, it was on page 131 of the last issue of GM High-Tech. Bob
