As stated above the two step when enguaged cuts spark to various cylinders, this will also keep the engine rpm at a stand still. The unburnt fuel gets pushed out the exhaust and combusts in the header and spools the turbo. Some guys use it for building boost with a manual, some guys use it to aid in launching the car, some auto guys use it to keep the rpms steady while on the trans brake.
With my turbo 6 speed car I used it to build boost and to control the launch rpm. At 4200 it would build about 6 lbs.
With my nitrous 6 speed car I used it to make launching easy, just hold the clutch in, put the gas petal to the metal, release the clutch and off you go. The cluth swith activated and deactived the 2 step.
With my 408 t88 turbo 400 car I use it to keep the boost down, If I stayed on the trans brake the boost will go to the moon. I stage the car, get on the brake, floor it and if it needs more boost to leave just turn up the rpm setting. I have the two step wired into the trans brake on this car.

i have a 2 step from synergy and it is awesome not only on my 6 speed but my th400 that i just put in, i was one of there tester cars and let me tell you with out it i wouldn't be running 10.60s. hey rick what would i have to do to get the th400 transbreak dill in mine?

At this point we have a two step for almost every setup now. And if there is not one you see, we can program it that way. Our unit uses a flash chip so we can setup a custom program if needed. Right now we have this for the two step function.
-Standard two step.
-Two step for Automatic
-Automatic with transbrake (relay)
-Auto with transbrake (solid state)
-Nitrous suspend option to any of these as well.
