that's pretty cool but any exhaust shop or skilled person can prob fab that up providing you have the cutout already. still pretty cool.

wonder if running an open exhaust would help out on a supercharged car.

I don't think it helps S/C nearly as much as T/C. Has to do with e/i pressure ratio's.

Cutout's are easy to do on our cars anyway's.

I was just at the track with Barry (owner of QTP) and we were talking about turbos. He didn't say anything to me about making a DP for the F-Body and I don't think he will be. There are too many variations of downpipes for him to have a universal DP made.

Of course you could always buy his QTEC and have a shop fab the work.

that link only shows other applications it looks like they will not be making any downpipes for f bods they are making them for trucks and imports. there are just too many different kits for the fbod to be able to make a downpipe and make money on it.

exhaust flow is what S/C need the most... they have a way to get air in the motor very easily and need help getting it out....

the exhaust ports/valves and headers on blown motor are very important.

with my cutout open my car has insta spool...... HUGGGGGEEEE noticable difference. not that hard to do

Not as much as you might think. You see, when you improve exhaust flow on a s/c engine, you reduce pressure in the exhaust port, which allows air/fuel to escape more easily during overlap. I have several test data points to back this up. Also, note that turbo motors make alot of power even though they will have 2x as much exhaust pressure as boost.

old news, been around for well over a year, probably 2. not commin for our cars "specifically"

as said earlier you can just put that style cutout on your existing exhaust setup.

Honestly I loved my electric cutout on my formula, but I drove with it open 90% of the time. The only time I closed it was cruising the neighborhood back to the house, and if a cop happened to be sitting next to me at a light. BUT, when it was closed, it leaked. I did the maintenance on it, kept it cleaned and tightened, but it still leaked. I think they all will over time. I'm sure this one will too...

I agree with FormulaFire... just dump it and be done with it.
