Just spray 800 hp worth of nitrous with a seperate fuel system into a SOHC civic, done and done

Also one thing you have to consider for a pump gas tune is cylinder pressure and detonation run hand in hand, with torque and cylinder pressure sharing a fairly direct relationship. Make less torque and turn the motor more RPM's and you will make more horsepower before you hit MBTT for your octane.

Andy why don't you hold off until tuning it up until around September, let me catch a bit more, I'm over a second slower than you right now.

Your going to be just fine! One more time out to the track and you'll be right there, quit sand bagging!

Thanks guys. And just an update but the system we had in stock is now spoken for. We'll have another available in approx 1 month. (Need a little more time than usual due to the upcoming holidays).

Just curious...what is in your Sportsman 370 Short-Block (rods, pistons, etc) to hold up to this power level? Are the heads studded? Stock size studs? Is the block o-ringed?

Dave

It is an Iron 6.0 block, stock crank, eagle rods, Diamond pistons/rings. ARP head studs are used (stock size) along with GM MLS gaskets. The block is not O-ringed.

The engine is our 370ci sportsman shortblock, AFR 225 heads, 225/225 113lsa cam, stock throttle body/LS6 intake. T400 trans, 12-bolt rearend w/3.73's (soon to be changed to 3.08's).

This is our new twin turbo system that retains all stock accessories in their original location. Turbos are PT67 P-trim, which as we found are actually physically longer than the GT35R's which caused some clearance issues with the motor mount stands on the K-member. (grinding for clearance was necessary). Dyno runs were also made through a dual 2.5in exhaust exiting at the rear bumper. (it was on the car previously and the customer wanted to keep it).

I tuned it with HP Tuners 3-bar operating system. Injectors are 60lb edge injectors @72psi base pressure.

It made 520rwhp @ 8psi boost and 820rwhp @21psi boost. Pulls were made to 7100rpm. Iat's reached 85 deg at 7,100 and 21psi boost.

All in all we are very pleased with the results considering the cars streetability is not compromised. Should easily be good for 900+rwhp in a 6-speed car.

Jim, did you use the base FP @72psi plus boost referenced the regulator for a total of 94psi ?

Jim, when is your car going to be up and running again with this kit on it? What motor are you going to put back in it?

I should have the motor back this week, so it will be running soon.

Stock aluminum block, stock crank, scat I-beams, Diamond pistons (flat top). Still keeping the same truck heads and 216/216 cam.

I'll probably just keep it at around 600rwhp until I can do a rearend and a better clutch. I'm looking forward to the spring as this car will become my daily driver.
