Lower Compression= Safer??
I plan on running 10psi from the TC76 and I traded my 56CC heads for a set of 62cc heads with safety/longevity of my motor in mind(they flow the same) I would of been around 8.9-9.0:1 and now it should be a little under 8.5:1. I know there will be some power loss but im more concerned with making the motor last longer.
Is lowering the comression say .5-.7 really going to make a difference(engine safetly longevity wise)?

It will probably last one more turn of the boost **** than it would at higher compression.(most people who plan on 5psi end up at 15 or 20, you are already planning 10). Seriously, it really does all depend on the components and tune. Boost pressure is orders of magnitude less than detonation pressure.

Yes, at the same boost level it will be safer. However, as gametech implied, you will later realize that you can turn up the boost since the compression is lower and get even more power. Resistance is futile. You will turn it up.
