Default finally got the F1A on..

Between going to Disneyworld last week and having a nasty cold this week I finally got the thing on there. Took me a while to find my steel J bracket and little extra brace for the SDCE, figured I'd put those back on for the F1.

I'm going to try the ATI inlet hat again, if it was good for nearly 18psi with the D1 maxed out it should be good enough for a couple more psi. I'm running a 7.25/4" pulley on it now which will put it 6K under max impeller @ 7000rpm. Its making about about .5psi more on the 2-step/brake at 3500 then the D1 with the maxed out 7.25/3.4 so I would guess about 1.5 more psi up top. It is most definately louder then the D1 lol, almost makes my exhaust seem quiet now.

Was going to run it in the 1/8 this weekend, great weather right now, 65 and sunny, but this cold is kicking my *** (a present from my 8 year old's class). I also need to swap the front springs and put some Madman SYABs on so hopefully it will be nice next weekend. If it runs OK with the 7.25/4 I'll put the 7.25/3.7 on it (max F1A impeller @ 7000), put a 3.50 gear in it and head to Florida or South Carolina after the holidays to see what it will do.

Had to trim the bottom of the core support a little and move the radiator forward about an inch on the LH side but thats about it.

Uh ohhhh, 8's here we come. Especially if the weather is nice and cool, I can feel it kp. Hey so was it a pain to mount it there? Kind of hard to tell in the pics, but how tight of a squeeze was it to mount there? Man you definitely have one of the sweetest setups out there. Good luck and get well soon so you can get the 8's.

Only problem is I had to trim the bottom of the core support to clear the hat, I moved the bottom of the radiator a little foward to clear the fan. Took about 2 minutes with a sawzall. The drive case is only about .5 thicker then the D1 but the blower inlet is also 3/4" further forward then the D1 so its a tight squeeze.

Na, I have ran the car with a 4" elbow, with no hat at all and the way you see it and it has never ran any different at the track at all with the D1. I suspect the F1 probbaly wont matter much either..

I have 75lb injectors now with the BS3, they are hitting 85% or so, I'll have to go up to 83s soon but I can bump the fuel pressure up a little if I have to with the 75s.

I switched out the 57s mid summer, they were at 100% or so @ 65psi with the car running 9.50s and i knew once it cooled off they wouldnt be enough.

Are you running the stock radiator and a/c? I am in the process of going with the F1a but with my be cool radiator <about 1.5 inches wider than stock> and a/c, things are super tight down there with the P1SC.

Looks great Kev, glad you are reusing the steel bracket.....I had to go through hell to get that thing LOL.

As said before you make it look to easy to do this type of stuff. Looks like some of the hardware took a bit of road rash on a pass huh

no A/C and stock radiator, you will probably have to move the bottom of the whole radiator forward which isnt that big of a deal. I was able to just push the LH lower forward enough where I have 1 inch clearance.

I also dont use the ATI fan shroud though, it wouldnt fit the way I have it if I did but if you kick the while radiator forward at the bottom it will probably work with the ATI shroud.

Yea, that last run in the vid in my sig scraped up a lot of stuff, I had to let out of it (it was in 2nd gear already) since it was going left and it came down pretty hard. Headers took it the worst though but it also bent the lower IC mount and a few other things. Thats why I'm putting the SYA bars and heavier front springs on there

It did hit the pan but there mostly just rubber stuck to it, headers worked as SYA bars

Nothing broke, I layed underneath it and bent it all back with my foot, it wont hit the ground again - maybe
