Just came from the shop.... N/A the motor made 440rwhp 450rwtq on a mustang dyno. That is a 408 with 8.4:1 C/R with AFR 225 heads and stock TB and LS6 manifold. After that we bolted the blower on and took it to 5000RPM where it made 650rwhp and 700rwtq at 4400RPM running 11-12psi. We had a hard time keeping the tires from spining so we put 3 people in the trunk and a 25kg bag of Salt. That kept the tires from spining up to 5000RPM where the 60lbs injectors were fighting for their lives at 120% DC running 80psi of Fuel Pressure.

So tomorrow we might take it to 6000 RPM just to see what happens, but the injectors deal is scaring me big time.

The tune is very conservative now at 11.0 A/F and 14 degrees of timing. We don't want to push it until we make sure we have the fuel to back us up. I dont see alot of people having success with the 96lbs injectors with a box or the Venom high impedence 96lbs injectors.

Thanks. So what are you going to do about running out of fuel if you need more injector?

Im not really sure just yet.... I want to speak with either VersaFuel or Venom to see which 96lbs injectors i should go with. Worst case scenario I will switch to BIG STUFF and call it a day.

So I guess htis is the limit for the 60s in terms of power...

Sorry for all the questions. Trying to learn and tailor my expectation if I go prochager. Thinking about the same setup and as you but with an F1A. Dind't realize that the next up on the injectors would be difficult to tune and going with BIG STUFF wasn't in my future plans.

Thanks

I've had great success with the RC 75# injectors. Twin intank 340 Walbros / Boost ref FPR and a few other goodies to help support 18lbs with an F1...

I have a full fuel system with FPR and all the goodies. You mean RC 72lbs which is the 750cc ones right? We tried that today on the dyno and it was running at 95% DC seeing only 11psi. Im really thinking about the 96lbs low impedence injectors with a box.

We had a new problem arise today and that is the new Textraila clutch.... I never thought the Textraila might slip, but it did today and it sucks.... We couldn't go over 4500RPM because the clutch slips really badly. We were seeing a good 650-690rwtq by then and the clutch let go really fast. The strange thing is that there is no smell or any problems with it when i drove the car on the street.

What could cause a new clutch to slip like that?

The car is going to be shipped overseas tomorrow or tuesday. That is why its going to be a while until another update. It looks like I have to see whats the problem with the clutch and choose either going the Big Stuff route or a convertor box for the low impedence injectors.
