For all you running 2 and 3 bar with HPT, open your original non VCM Enhanced file and go to this form in VCM Editor:
http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_edi...ters_gm_os.htm

If you see a (RTT) next to your option, it means RTT is available for your VCM Enhancement.

Just re-apply your enhancement to your base file, copy over your changes from your latest 2 or 3 bar tune, then just do a write entire. This license will not cost you anything as you already have the license for your 2 or 3 bar VCM Enhancement.

You now have real time tuning.

Lots of info on RTT here:
http://www.hptuners.com/help/vcm_editor_rtt.htm

Using RTT will save you a TON of time dialing in your idle, wot, fuel and spark maps.

RTT works on all interfaces as well, older Serial and newer USB.

Enjoy!

ALT+Print Screen key combo would take a better screen shot for us old foggies to read.

Going to the 3 bar as soon as I get my turbo kit. Im in 2 bar now. RTT is nice. But I mostly use it when Im on the street. On the dyno I just SD the car and go oldschool style LOL Im installing the fast dual widebands this week.

MAF is disconnected and you have everything setup properly to fail to Speed Density?

Can you get any logging at all on the 3-bar sensor for the baro readings? Need to make sure it's reading from the proper side of the intake otherwise it will see to high a reading and dump a ton of fuel. Been there... Opppsssed that.

At what point do you need a 2bar? and a 3bar?? PSI-wise on lets say a 346ci motor?

I'm sure it changes as the cubes go up... It can't be as simple as "a 2bar is good up until 2 bar," because that's a lot of boost

2 bar is good from 1-14.7psi
3 bar is good up to 29psi I believe.

mine is 102 i think across the table. you can use whatever but if you are return i would use a linear table. the bigger the number in the flow rate table the smaller number in your ve table. It is just another multiplier.

make sure you pay attention to the minimum pulse tables/adders. I set them all to 0. also the minimum milligram table under the transient tab is going to be important. I think mine is at .028. These will let you idle lean instead of being stuck rich.

yes i modified my tune (the injector rates) from tiago's file and it starts up and idles ok, though the idle is at around 11.5:1 AFR like his is at, i also have a 347 cubed engine.. I still haven't got my transmission in so i haven't done any part throttle load tuning or any boost tuning.
havent been to busy working on the car since i have been remolding my house
hoping to get my trans back and in with in the next month and get this thing going. would like to try and fix the idle/cruise AFR problem, but i think if i switch to ethonal that it will be resolved since it requires a lower AFR for cruise.

3 bar Speed Density - Open Loop.

I don't see why anybody would go 2 bar. The HP tuner 3 bar setup works fine and has plenty of table resolution to accurately control fueling.

Additionally the FAST 3 bar MAP sensor has plenty of resolution to properly control the car.

3 bar with no issues other than on cold startup it idles a little rough for the first 3 minutes then smooths out.

Jim at Speed Inc. tuned it. I use the HP Tuners Pro version on it. Haven't hooked up the wideband yet but will soon. 18.5 PSI with 75lb injectors with the base fuel pressure cranked up a bit to give a little room up top. Boost referenced to keep the fuel coming. 882RWHP through a TH400 and 12 bolt Strange superstrength.

I'd go HPT 3-bar if I didn't have a '98.....
