turbo sbc i'm getting to the drivetrain part of my truck (67 C-10) and trying to get some ideas on where to start. i have a good 350 block, and i want to put a turbo on it. definatly going with injection. my dad owns a fabrication shop and i wont have any prob with fabricating anything that i need to, just a little unsure as to what turbo i need to look for, CR, injection setup, etc. i will drive this truck on a daily basis, and i would like to have around 600-700hp. any suggestions?
Ouch that was harsh, but a lot more info is needed to help you make a turbo selection. Is it a forged 350? LT1 or old school SBC? What heads, cam, etc? What do you mean by injection? Fuel injected? As for compression ration I would aim for 8.5:1, you should be able to hit 600-700 HP with a T-76 in a front mount single turbo setup. If you are converting to fuel injected then id aim for a minimum of 60 #lb injectors and dual racetronix fuel pumps. Then you need to contemplate what transmission and rear you will be going with as a stock trans and rear is not going to handle the power you will be making. Also you are going to need tuning software if you go fuel injected as opposed to a carb setup. Lots of things to think about and consider...

Why not go with a roots style blower as that is an easy setup and has made proven power? Not trying to steer you away from going turbo but it is going to be a lot of work.

i don't have anything yet, that's what im asking- what do i need? as for the block, old school, definatly will go with a strong bottom end, i was thinking something like 8:1 cr. im wanting to run something like a team g intake with injectors drilled and tapped into the bottom of the runners. what injectors do i need? what computer? i have experiance with motors, just never done anything with a turbo before. i've found a holset turbo, hx35? is this anything i could use? thanks for the help and any ideas.

Take a look at the Holley 950 Pro kits. They are complete fuel injection kits from the manifold to the throttle body to the fuel pump. I'd look at the 50# injectors. Summit Racing has the best prices. It will handle boost with a simple and cheap ($45) MAP sensor change, and there's plenty of base maps to draw from.
I love those 60's and early 70's truck and it would be a blast to build up one to woop on people.

Like was said above, a 76 mm turbo, 60 lb injectors, at least two walbro pumps, and mangement, fast, gen7, bs3, etc.... CR 8:1+, I would rather see 9:1 but that would depend on heads, chamber, etc....

Depends on how much boost you want to push into the engine. Usually most people recommend 8.5:1 compression for an FI application, but if you want to go 8.0:1 you could do that (not sure what pistons and head/gasket combo would get you there) but you would need more boost to make power. Also the lower the compression the more boost you can run on pump gas. Im not a SBC guy so I would say for the heads and cam to post up in the SBC/BBC section of the forum as they would know more. As for a turbo again I would go with a front mount setup running a t-76 and 60 lb injectors with dual intake pumps. As for the short block build it with the best parts possible. Dont skimp on the internals when your looking for 600-700 rwhp because you dont want it flying apart on you being as you want to DD it.
Also what trans, rear, etc are you running in the car? As for computer management im not sure what is out there for SBC but if you can use BS3 thats the way I would go as Ive heard good things about it.

i have a 9 inch rear, no tranny yet. i wanted to run a 700r4 but i've not heard anything good about putting them behind a lot of power, so maybe turbo 350? def automattic though. i'm just trying to get opinions on the best way to build the entire setup

if you do a t-6 frame you can upgrade easier later.
definately use a mild cam . stay below 9:1 if you plan on using pump gas
MSD is releasing efi this year. its BS3. I would buy the EFI last.
