Default TTi LS1 Street kit how much power?

Wondering how much power has been made with a LS 1 TTi 76 street kit? Built motor or stock? Pro's & Cons?

Thanks

The T76 street system was originally designed to support 550 rwhp back in 2000. We had hit a wall with the 60-1 kit and just bolted on the larger turbo and saw gains to 550 rwhp. Back then there was no tuning software available and we were stuck with sending the pcm to so called programmers that weren’t very good. Later we changed the manifold from 1.5” primaries to 2” and changed the crossover from 2” to 2.5. We also offered a 3” down pipe. The biggest complaint we had was the intercooler was said to be too small. We used a bar and plate design and the air flow was going from top to bottom and flowed more air than one would think. I would used a larger intercooler if you’re looking for more that 550 rwhp. The exhaust back pressure before the turbo is also an issue above 550 hp. A tangential larger a/r turbine housing would help. The log style manifold is not the best design to make much more that the hp the kit was designed for. I realize that 500 rwhp is so yesterday but the kit has held up well for what is was designed for. I’ve had customers push the kit past the 600 rwhp but the engine and turbo system can’t be very happy.

Can you reccomend a intercooler? What size A/R would you reccomend? Do you sell the intercoolers and housings?

They ahve a race kit that is completely different from their street kit. The race setup will support big HP.

Yup, I made 653 rwhp and 738 ftlbs rwtq (SAE corrected). That was at about 16-17 psi on my 370.

Here is a different pull, the huge Tq is partly due to converter action: The Red lines are mine

I own tti 76mm street kit and it makes plenty of power around 550 rwhp and 605 lb-ft on stock block. The intercooler works great at 550 I still havent reached the max potential but i am finished add any more boost. I seriously think there is no reason to go to the race kit unless you need to have a 9 second car.

i do not think the big problem with the IC is the size nessisarily but the location, it just doesnt get good airflow where its at, my IAT were getting close to 200* in the 100* weather.
i made around 550rwhp way back when and was happy with it for a while.

also didnt ryan relocate his IC and use a different one?

Yes, I changed it out to one of the OBX style intercoolers and made it a FMIC.

no cam and stock ported heads but mostly everything "required" in the turbo sticky. I know 550 hp is yesterday but i still havent found like i couldnt get a cheap thrill driving it. It is way better than my ricer days.

What difference did the OBX make vs the TTi intercooler? What size OBX did you use?

Thanks
