Default ideal set up for an F1A

so if you wanted to hit around 750-800 rwp what would the ideal set up be for an F1A? 383,427 what? what about boost levels and intake manifold?

Lots of cubes, good flowing heads (think LS7), and relatively low boost. My C5R/LS7/F1C 427 made 773 RWHP at 8 pounds of boost on a fat tune.

A relatively inexpensive way to do it would be with a 6.0L iron block, and a 4.0" stroker crankshaft. The new Callies Compstar crank at approx $700.00 would be a great way to go, much better than an Eagle crankshaft. This combination would give you a 402.
A 402 using an LS2 aluminum block would save you some weight in the block, but ends up costing a lot more. These combinations would make you an easy 800 rwhp with good flowing heads and a good cam with an F1A ProCharger blower.
I'd use the G.M. LS6 intake manifold. Bob

My 408 with a D1SC made 757 RWHP with 14 psi, so I would think an F1A would be able to do it with even less boost.

x2 Iron block 402 or 408 with L92 heads and L76 intake and a big front mount with that F1A should make those numbers easily

16 psi of boost or less, will make the horsepower you are looking for. Bob
