Default plug on block

Is the plug located directly behind the alt. on the block a pressure port or a return port to the pan. I have already posted this on advanced and waiting on answers just thought some on here may have already discovered this. Thanks. I already know it is for oil not a water freeze plug.

He's talking about the one on the driver's side of the block very near the front face. I believe it's a pressure port, but not totally sure to be honest.

Yes i am talking about the one on the driverside near the front. I have an extra motor in my shop and when I pulled this plug out it is about .5 in tube that runs along the block back to oil pan looks like and right inside the port to front of block looks like what is a ball check valve that appears to be coming from the timing cover side. you remove this plug with a 5/16 allen. Thanks for any info

It is an oil pressure port. That is where I had my accumulator plumbed in.
