02SSLE didn't really look at your entire setup but what tranny you running?? I just got in my Built 4L80E in a few days ago, we should meet up sometime Conway is about 2 hours from me.

It not that difficult, you need a different Torque converter, flexplate, crossmember and drive shaft. Im running one in my car.

cool just wondering. If I have probs with building boost. I will consider a 4l80E. I really like my M6 but if I don't run what I am expecting to at Centrville I will really consider it. When is Polk going to have your car ready? Also what turbo did you get?

So without a cage or roll bar you're limited to 11.49, right? I don't understand how you intend to compete when slower cars will be beating you because they can legally run faster?

We will have fun anyway. It's more about the experience. This is a real street car IMO cage is not part of real street car. I am considering a 4 point but that would be all as of right now.

Why even add the 4 point if your against a cage... its only a couple more bars for a legal setup.....and you can have swing outs.....

Cages dont make or break a street car... they dont say.. that isnt a street car.... there, there for your saftey...... i take you have never seen the roll over camaro crash vid with the camera in the inside

I wouldnt even feel safe driving my car on the street if i didnt have a cage.....

Is the Inconvience or the $$$????

A Good Cage is big $$$ If the guy is good they can have the top bars hug the roof....... If i had swing out's in mine i wouldnt even know it was there.....

Do you have all the other stuff to run the ET's???

DSSL, Double layer Fire jacket and pants, neck brace, 5 point harness, fire gloves, shoes, sfi bell housing on the 6 speed.... auto there is other stuff...NHRA License... im sure they will be real strick on that stuff.....

Why not just get a Bolt in 5 point with a swing out on your side.....
Have your helmet, firejacket and DSLL and be good to 10.0...........

Hope you the best of luck how ever you pursue it. I'm sure you will give it your all. I too have a similar setup to yours hope it runs like yours. BE VERY CAREFUL WITHOUT A CAGE IN IT. Always remember you can replace cars but not yourself. Now say a CHEER and kick some BUTT!!!!!!

Making the power really is the easiest part of going fast and probably the cheapest. Its the peripheral stuff that adds up quick. If you think the car will run 9s, might as well just put a sportsman cage in it and be done. If you think it will go in the 8s, you might as well go 25.5 and be done. Now 25.5 is alot more intrusive definitely. You might as well just go out there and make a bonzai run the first pass because a) you dont have a chance of winning and b) you dont have the safety equipment to go sub 11.49.
