Pump Gas Drags
They are VERY strict about the saftey rules. Last year the winner went .02 (8.48)faster than his cert. and they warned him that if he went 8.49 or faster he would be DQed.
They use Rocket brand 93.8 octane
I had a great time last year with my car and I'll be back this year with 2 friends cars ... both N20 powered LS1's
FYI ... they invited 74 cars you get 1 qualifing pass to see who makes the quick 32 feild. I expect the bump to be low 10 or high 9 second pass.
So turn the boost up and get a rollbar in or you wont even make the show.

Damn that would suck to make the trip for one qualifing pass......
That Rocket brand is some nice fuel....
Kevin,
Yeah i hear ya...... i never have really tried with pump either.... a mix of pump and 110.... i was thinking about it but wasnt worth it to chance it on more boost then what i have seen for normal street driving and pump 93....
Kyle
like i said my car isn't legal, so i didnt and never would have filled out an application.
i wouldnt want to take up the spot of someone (hopefully from the ls1 community) that was fast AND legal, and had a shot to do well.
found this on hot rod website
* Safety: Competitors must meet NHRA safety requirements for the quarter-mile speed and/or e.t. the vehicle is capable of. You will not be invited to the Pump Gas Drags(TM) if your vehicle clearly does not meet safety rules, i.e., no rollbar or rollcage. NHRA safety rules will be enforced by the Memphis Motorsports Park tech inspector. During tech inspection each car will be assigned a lowest legal e.t.; cars that run quicker than their tech'd e.t. in qualifying or eliminations will be disqualified.
2 things I'd recommend , get rid of that 6 speed if you really wanted a chance and at least put a 6 bolt on with all the necessary safety gear.
then turn the whick up and see what happens.
i'd like to go go watch, this in memphis right?
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I would have sent an app. in but my wife is due on April 29.
havent seen the new rulez out for this year, but if that viper gets the bugs sorted out it may be the car to beat again, otherwise that purple car was a bad bitch too.

The purple car "elvis" did not get invited back.
The Viper should have a good shot If they let him race.
