I just talked to Doc and we are talking it over. I am calling Stenoid and Speed Inc tomorrow about a cage. I will go from there.

no offense but all of this should have been in the works long before you applied and got accepted. there are lots of fast legal cars that would have loved to have that spot at pgd. (not me, i would have like to have gone, think the car would do well, but like yours it is not finished and not legal)

to go there and run an 11.50 would be the slowest car there, and not fun enough to offset the 'experience'

I don't undestand why or how they invited him knowing it was pointless? Unless they thought for some reason the car was legal.

Hey I am just going becasue they excepted me. I turned in app for the hell of it. I consider this car to be the most legit street car there is. I thought we could get away with running a little faster than 11.50's. There is still enough time for me to put a cage in. I am still thinking about it. Even if I do I will only put a 6 point. A 10 point is just to much for my car IMO and it is my car. I will have fun either way it will be a good experience.

No offense, but you're in bad shape if you get in an accident on the street w/ a cage and no helmet. If you live, you're probably going to be eating through a straw.

But hey, as long as you feel safe lol. Or you could roam the street with a helmet on

Obviously a different story @ the track.

a 6 point will get you to 10.0's of course provided you meet the rest of the safety criteria.
having a 'most' legit streetcar wont make them slide on safety.. i wish it would cus then i'd be there.

at this point i think it is your responsibility to get the car legal for the race and go do the best you can, it will be slower than 10.0's and out at or before the semi finals but at that point it would be worth going to rep 6 speeds.

I don't know weather to show up with no cage and let her eat the fist pass and get kicked out then or put a cage and try to go rounds. I really don't like the idea of crawlling over bars and stuff.

I say get her to the track soon and see what you will need and then go from there... with a 6 speed its going to take quite a while for you to get her dialed in.....

Let the track say what ya need... get what im saying???

He got picked, unless he lied on his application that the car was quicker who cares what it runs. Supposedly they picked more 'real' street cars this year.

Just go there and have some fun, if you get bitched at slow it down - dont cut your car up for one event. Anyone that didnt send in an app has no reason to **** and moan that you got picked..

Actually I've heard the pump gas they use is actually a little better than "true" 93octane. I'm not saying that is for certain because my source is far from the fuel distributor.

I ran 9.70s on 93 last year messing around but thats nowhere near fast enough to even think of running with the quicker guys.

PGD and drag week are real cool but I have little interest, been in a few magazines now and while it would be nice to be in hot rod I dont read it so it doesnt bother me not to be in it

But it looks like a lot of fun though so if you get an invite I see no reason not to go tear it up.
