Default Why do these numbers seem so low?

The car dynoed 640whp/740wtq. The thing that gets me is this was on 16psi! I figured with that amount of boost it should have been closer to 750whp. A/F is around 11.5:1
Also, when the car was dynoed there was no coolent going into the heads. The heads are fine, but im not sure if that would steal that much power or not. Compression is 8.1:1 and I am using a truck manifold kit. The rest of my setup is in my sig.
BTW I was not running any meth.

There are a lot of variables, including timing, cam size, IAT's. etc...

How does the dyno graph look...

This is directly off the cam grind sheet:

These specs are for cam installed at 110 intake center line.

.....................................INTAKE....... ..EXHAUST
Duration at .050---------- 220 ---------- 224
Lobe Lift ------------------ .3130------- .3150
Lobe Seperation-----------114.0

I'm impressed you got that much power with those heads. The cam is on the small side too. I'd be pretty happy with those results.

How's your shortblock built?

dont get hurt over dyno numbers.... numerous things are a factor... get a trap speed and a raceweight and we will talk HP figures.

what does the car weigh and what does it trap in the 1/4 mile, dyno numbers != track numbers.

I havent been able to get any decent time out of it at the track yet. I only made it there twice with it after it was put together and blew boots/spun every run. I did manage to get a 13.0 @ 126 after spinning off the line and during the 1-2 shift and blowing a boot 3/4 the way then coasting.

Problems fixed for this season though

I'd be concerned about peak power at 4500rpm...

i think thats good power for your setup, not too big of a cam and nothing special heads.pump gas/race gas was that dyno'd with meth?and i agree with realquick its peaking way early.is the cam advanced?

I agree with those who say the power level is fairly accurate for your setup. Your cam and heads are the restrictions. Using a meth injection setup will allow to run more boost (if the blower isn't already maxed out) or more timing if you are looking for that extra power.

My D1SC got my 590 RWHP on my LT1 car at 15.3#'s of boost (maxed out the D1). This year I am going to get it re-tuned with a meth kit and plan on running a lot more timing.

Sounds like your heads, and cam setup might be a little restrictive.

Something isnt right. You drop 100 LB FT of TQ in 400 RPMS right after spool.

The car was dynoed on pump 93. No meth was used. There wasnt any use because I some how maxed the 65lbers out???????? This is all a mess.... Had a cam ground, found out it isnt right....injectors dont support the power they are supposed to....I should be good for another 80-90whp with a different cam then. these heads where used on gmrs first twin kit. Am I correct in saying that?

SO! To get the most out of this setup, what cam and heads would you all go with and what kind of gains do you think I would see?
