The latest GT47s are now built by garrett directly and they have deleted the v-band and use a silicone coupler instead:

That v-band is a special size and can range from 75-100 dollars just for the mating flange and the v-band itself...though it does provide a very positive seal that won't blow off...

Id much rather have the V-Band also...... all the S-Series come with it too.....
Wait till ya can compare the turbo to a live animal.. LOL

it will be a crazy ride down the track no doubt! one step at a time though.
