Apparently, there are two versions of the GT47 turbo. Earlier versions (like I have) are a garrett hybrid built by precision turbo. These turbos had a v-band flange machined on the compressor discharge. Note this in the picture I posted a while back

The latest GT47s are now built by garrett directly and they have deleted the v-band and use a silicone coupler instead:

Id much rather have the V-Band also...... all the S-Series come with it too.....
Wait till ya can compare the turbo to a live animal.. LOL

aww gonna make me blush. it will be a crazy ride down the track no doubt! one step at a time though.
