Default 2.65 or 2.75

Whats the advantages and disadvantages from a 2.75 to a 2.65 pulley on a v9g. More heat more boost is it worth doing and what hp gains? thanks

2.65" was the best all around pulley IMO. The 2.5 made more power, but also generated a lot more heat, but the 2.75" is ok also. No disadvantages to either of them other than the 2.65" is gong to make more power.

I'm gonna put the 2.65 on my car this week, gotta get a gear puller..
I'm thinking this will give another 1-2 lbs throughout which will be nice.

What is the stock blower pulley again, 3.12?

With the 2.75 do you end up short shifting, does the boost come on a lot faster in the midrange Jeff?

With the 2.65" and the 2.5" I was shifting in the 6-6300 range peak power was always around the 6K range so a little over and it would put me right back in the sweet spot and yeah there was a lot of low and mid range inprovement especially in the TQ department. It has very quick responce because of its size and it will pull till @6500 real easy.

with my 2.75 pulley I revved it up to 6800.

gonna see how much sooner the boost comes in with the 2.65. I'd like to lower it to 6500. if it makes power sooner than that I'll lower even more.

Do any of you notice more belt slip as you go smaller? Is a larger crank pulley an option for you guys?

I just got the V-2 T-trim and I'm going to start out with the 3.12 on it and see what she does...

Ive noticed no belt slip. I was messing with the car today. the tensioner setup on the Vortech's is really good.

hopefully i can get teh 2.65 pulley on this weekend, i'm really curious to see how much sooner it will bring in boost. right now it feels good but you always want more.
