read the whole tread alot of good knowledge here but i have a question:

what would happen if you wrap your manifolds also along with the whole exhaust going to the turbo? will wrapping the manifolds hold more heat and send that heat farther? i just took off my hooker headers and y pipe and going stock manifolds with bassani 2.5" y pipe and bent up a 2.5" i pipe what do you guys think..

I think you will be good with your setup... make sure you wrap it from the manifold all the way back to the turbo.

As for your first question.... I dont think you could effectively wrap manifolds... I had mine hand ported some and then Jet Hot coated.

I Dynoed it on Automotive Technologys Dyno is Chesapeake. It was on 10PSI and what we found out was a rather unsafe tune. made good power but it was a time bomb. I turned it down to about 8 now and have a new much healthier tune which Dynoed 425.

Has anyone made shorty headers with thick wall tubing? I am thinking of something at least 1/8" thick.

Got a chance to drive her for the first time in 2 months. I missed that car. haha. Now I get to rip off the headers and put the stock manifolds back on. Yay! Fun! Then i have a date with Ed myself for an SD tune. I'm really expected good things.
