Default Traveling with Meth

Speed Shop about 45 mins away has some Meth in stock, Vp Racing M1. They have 5 gallon drums. Is it fine to drive down and drive this stuff home or is that unsafe? Thanks!

Depends if you feel safe with 5 gallons of highly flammable and corrosive liquid in the car or not.

I'd do it but I wouldt tell anyone else too lol, hell I drove from Gainsville to Chicago with a 55 gallon drum of C16 in the back of a 77 chevy station wagon..

lol, i am aware isnt highly flammable and all that good stuff, but really what are the chances of something bad happening with it strapped down in the bed of a pick-up or truck of a car? Its not going to be in extreme heat nor to an open flame. What can happen that i'm missing?

Nothing really, worst case is you get an accident. The 5 gallon VP pails are pretty stout and can even be shipped. I was assuming you were going to put it in the inside of the car with you. In a regular trunk or or in the back of the pickup its no different then having 20 gallons of fuel in the gas tank if you get in an accident.

You probably know this, but should the worst happen you won't be able to see methanol burning...

look for a local shifter car shop, they sell that stuff cheap as hell.

plus if you are using it as an additive you don't need M1 you can buy comercial Grade Methanol and it's still 99.9% pure, now if you uze it as a primary fuel i would use M2 as it has some special lubricants added in.

No big deal to drive with it in the car just maike sure that lid is on tight or you'll make a 45min trip for nothing

im using it like most FI guys do with a Snow Meth Inj Kit. This stuff seems good and the price isnt bad at all for 5 gallons. Using it to prevent detonation and keep **** cooler with 93 octane.

Driving with it is no big deal unless you smoke. We ussually fill a 5 gallon bottle everytime we are at the track and drive 100 miles home.We just strap it in the front seat of the race car on the trailer.

Smoking doesn't even matter. You can put a cigarette out in methanol just like you can with gas. Ask any arson investigator.

I guess I'll point out the obvious here and ask if you do realize this stuff will be in your car right? Why would traveling with it in a sealed safe container be any more dangerous than having a tank of it under your hood mere inches from a hot engine?
