Cool! I'm still debating going to spectate, or not. Should be a fun time!

I have a feeling its going to be crowded, but if ou see a black 28' trailer connected to a black GMC Duramax pickup with a black LS1 TA next to it with a big procharger sticker on the back window stop on by. If I get picked I'll need a 'crew'

346+D1SC+15PSI=9.18

Wow unbelievable I don't even think the turbocharged boys can come close to that at that boost level, congrats.

It was some good weather and a decent hooking track, something we dont get too often around here. Its not really a turbo vs blower thing to me, I really just like the blower because its very consistant at this level and it doesnt require all the starting line BS. I can roll right up and stage the car and be gone is a second, that plus very predictable power on very mediocre tracks makes for a car that doesnt do stupid things 100 ft out - plus I never have to worry about overboosting

Moparnos, yes I still have the F1A. I'll wait to do a bigger engine before I use it again.

At this point 8s arent even that big of a deal really since I know it will do it, just a nice reliable, safe and consistant mid/low 9 second car is all I want. When you are concerned with chasing a number you tend to get frustrated and a little withdrawn at the track. I spent a lot more time talking to and helping a few other guys with their car yesterday then fooling with mine and had a nice relaxing day with the family. Thats what having a good time overall at the track is to me lately, not worrying if I'm .001 faster then the guy next to me. Its all about being safe and personal satisfation and I'm pretty satisfied with whats here, guess I'm just getting old

Yea I seen that, I was looking forward to seeing how you were going to run and I know you had to be disappointed. You can still sign up for Pinks in Rockingham I think

You got it 100% right Kp. Back in 97 when I was building a Pro.5.0 Mustang-I had nothing but headaches and grief. So I've been slowly getting back into it-if it ever stops being fun I'm done!

I may have to roll up to rockingham for PINKS now since I live in Raleigh. I'd like to see your car run in person. Maybe I'll roll up there in my camaro so you can see how f'd up the Hi-flo kit is. :lmao: When is it again?

So Kevin do you have comparable date between the Darts and the AFR's, where you had the same pulley setup, I wasn't clear. Cuz I'm thinking 15psi, 3400 raceweight, 147 traps, those AFR's are working really well.

I dont have any exact comparisons so I hesitate to say one is a lot better then the other. When it was running 9.30s with the Darts with the same pulley and DA it wasnt 60 footing as well. Plus the dragstrip clocks always come into question, looking at both logs the rpm was exactly the same 9.2 seconds from when I let go of the transbrake yet there was a 3mph difference and the 1/8 mph was fairly close so who knows. I dont judge much by mph seeing its a high stalled drag car and it was a windy day yesterday but the car is running stronger in the upper rpm range and its safe to say the heads helped up there.

all the info there, be nice if a lot of guys from LS1tech showed up. I'm surprised they havent made the 300 cars but being Easter weekend in the south that probably has something to do with it.

Vortech, I agree. Not taking away the fact its a blast to own and build a 'real' race car but you need a 'crew,' have to work on the car between rounds, have to very alert with track conditions, packing chutes is a PITA etc. Been there and and I dont regret doing it at all but I'm happy with the car as it is really. only thing I want to do is a powerglide and a funny car cage and lighten it up a little more..
