Please help with turbo size on 408

This is for my buddys car. Had a forged 347 LS6 with a 71 mm Precision turbo using the Hiflo Kit. The motor blew, so he is going to upgrade to a TSP 408 iron block, probably 8.0:1 compression. He will be ordering the motor tommorow. What size turbo should he go with? Entire car is built, suspesion, fuel system, th400 trans, etc. Car will see both street and strip. Any recommendations on what size turbo to go with and were to buy it from? Thanks

alot depends on what his trans can take as far as input tq.... Either a large frame pte or medium frame s88

It really depends on his goals, what kind of power he wants to make and how much he wants to modify the kit. Once you step into a good flowing 408 motor and you want to make power you need a large frame turbo.

For a 408 he will need alot more then that billet 71mm comp wheel can put out. We are talking 85mm to 88mm if he wants to carry it out to the redline.
