For those that e-mailed and sent us PM's on this car....a little update. Car now has the new S91 on it.....results coming soon. Keep in mind this is not a street car though. Our customer is trying to hit the track now with the cool weather before they start closing for the winter.

Lastest update.

Car ran wed. night.

Our customer said the ET sucked since it looks like the convertor is a bit tight, but he got a new best mph (1/8th mile runs only). Run was done at 25psi and holding steady. The S88 would peak at 27 and drop to 23-24. So looks like some improvements are coming.

660ft mph: 143.51

According to Borg Warner. Their journal bearings spin just as freely as Garrett DBB setups. But that's when comparing lbs/min to lbs/min from BW to Garrett.

Their explanation is oil restriction to the turbo. Their Journal setup don't have a oil restrictor while their DBB setups do.

Their are internal modifications that can be done to the BWA's to make them spool faster, live longer and take alot more abuse.

Aren't the S series turbos the same as Bullseye turbos? Not trying to be disrespectful. Just curious.

No, they start with the same center housing but that is about it. Their's are just stock 400's with altering of compressor wheels.

Ours are fully internally modified, custom compressor wheel castings on the larger units, custom compressor covers, fully zero'ed balanced (not component balanced).....etc..etc. Alot of the BWA builders buy alot of the parts from us, but they can not buy certain wheels, covers, bearings...etc. Also all the units are CNC finished machined, no raw castings leave here.

Our units are about as similar as Turbonetics versus PTE's. Garrett based, but that is where it stops.
