has to be a dead short to blow a 30A fuse...it was probably partially drawing down intermittantly. It didn't chafe itself sitting in my garage....started up and drove it in and went to restart later in the day and it blew the fuse

Looks like the weather isn't going to cooperate tonight. 75% chance of rain and 2250' DA.

I dont know about how your weather forecasts work up there but here it rains everyday in the summer. The percentage indicates how much of the time it will be raining. I've driven my car about 5 times this summer because I am scared to get caught in the rain on MT drag radials and no A/C. You typically have to drive thru rain to get to the track and hope it's clear over there.

New round of updates...

changed to Phil's LS7 coils two weeks ago(to determine if I have a coil issue)...but found out the hard way not to run the crank trigger wires near coils...it don't like that and does interesting things when it fires 50* late

So this past week, I relocated the coils further away and changed to a grounded/shielded MSD crank trigger wire...hopefully this clears up the issues I had 2 weeks ago

Shawn also has a 4bar MAP sensor for me to change to...30 psi just ain't gettin it done

I'll probably be selling my GM 3bar MAP sensor soon

updated this thread for archiving...

After fighting misfires and backfires all season,
had the injectors cleaned and switched back to C16

1st hit...spun 40' out.

2nd hit...lowered tire pressure 1/2 psi
car was FAAATTTTTTTTT on this pass...switched back to C16 fuel and A/F was in the 9.x:1 AFR the whole way down track

60ft-1.363
330ft-3.509
1/8-5.244
mph-142.52
1000ft-6.733
1/4-7.997
mph-177.88

Third hit...added more boost at launch and leaned it out some...car drove to the right at launch and got out the groove and spun ~50ft out...but I pedaled it and legged it thru the 1/4 for fueling data:
even spinning about 1.1 seconds into the run it went a 1.33 60ft ...biggest surprise is that it picked up 48 freaking mph out the back door (123.26 to 171.14 mph )

BUT

probably wasn't the wisest thing to do...hit some other parts of the map due to the spinning and it hurt something...didn't push water but oil got milky

Wow....that sucker keeps getting faster. With it leaned out and running right, no reason it shouldn't go a 7.7@180 or more.
