Question twin turbos

If you can make the amount of boost you want with a single turbo would there be any gain from getting twin turbos?

The gain would be quicker spool.

Good reading here from engineermike:

The most optimally sized single on a motor compared to the most optimally sized twins on the same motor would result this way.

faster spool, and smaller twins can be easier to package in a cramped engine bay.

Most of the time it has nothing to do with what you are looking for. Is there a way that we can get the search changed to be more useful? Josh

Try "advanced search" select search titles only, and pick the forum(s) that apply to your question, sort results by relevancy.

Twin's should give you a quicker spool time, and also like the other's said, they are usually smaller so you can fit them in smaller place's,but you also have to buy twice the part's for everything!

Been there, done that, I am aware of the advanced search, but it is still worthless. Also by picking the forum that applies can alot of times get you nowhere because half the time its not in the right forum. The whole idea of a search engine is to sort stuff by relevancy. What the point of it if you have to do it own your own.

We temporarily pruned the auto search back to 1 year of threads, so it "should" work fine now. Quit yer bitching
