Seems just a little big to me for a 347ci. Especially the lift. Duration seems a bit large too. How does it run? Any numbers?

That's still a little guy.

We ran much more lift/duration on my 347 and it was still a pussycat on the street.

You dont need a big cam for boost. Hell my cam is smaller than most 346ci cams..

So having the intake valve open longer does not allow you to get more air in with a boosted setup?

I am no cam expert.. My current cam was recommended by Cam Motion for a decent street application. I am sure I could go with a HUGE cam and pick up a ton more power up top, but I would lose some driveability during bumper to bumper traffic..

That is a little different perspective than:

I am trying to stay within the limitations of my turbo kit. Whatever that might be. It appears when you ask questions things get cryptic..

I ran in my 348ci, 8:1, a 236/246//114 cam from Cam Motion. Car hit hard off the line and ran great. I ran 9.40@143 @ 3450 raceweight and 2000 DA, and it had more in it.

My cam's a 232/242 with lots of overlap-jut like you would want one to make max power N/A. I chose this to keep the car pump gas friendly-for those that say you lose boost-can you show me where?

I saw 18-19psi all by 6200 because the fuel system wasn't keeping up-and these #'s are not lean tuned #'s either-the car was 10.8 all the way up to 6200 when it went to 11.5.

I still have 10,000 more rpm to spin this blower to, and a bigger cams to try. The #'s are through a auto BTW

The only problem I have with a bigger cam is going back to 1600rpm bucking when in 5th and 6th gear.. I am pretty sure in my combo going to a 254/249 lsa 114 would be a huge change in power over my current mid 22X/21X lsa 114 cam...

The cam may be OK, but you should expect a frequent valve spring change interval with that sort of ramp rate and lift. I would definitely take this OFF the street-friendly list.

With the blower and the constant airflow there is rarely any idle or bucking surging issues-I can see it being the opposite on a Turbo though.

I didn't realize there were so many people running these huge cams with FI.

I like baby cams for streetability/maintenance reasons.
