Default Turbo boost and low gearing question

I knew this would happen, but not sure why this happens? My car as an example, M6 4:10's. First gear, I get NO boost, Second gear I get 5 PSI then it stops. Third gear and up I get 8 PSI. What is actually happening to cause this?

I think it can't stay in gear long enough. Too fast thru the gears. Most turbo cars I hear like 3.42 and maybe even less.Would think 3.73 is about highest person would want to go with turbo car.

Need more load to spool that thing.... Wrap ALL of your exhaust from header to turbo, that will help a bit but ya need a numerically lower gear.

The exhaust is wrapped, So it goes through the gear so fast that the turbo has no time to spool up? That would seem to make sense.

Yep thats about right I think. I plan on 3.50 I think in my 9 inch ford rear end. I wonder how bad 3.73 would be also as off boost the 3.73 is nice.Course since going to a 408 or 427 over the 346 less gear will likely be more than fine as torque goes up in a bigger motor.

For you though think 3.73 or 3.42 would be best.

I think I am going to run 3:73 as I like the around town driveability.

I would go with a higher gear than that, like a 3:23. If your blowing through boost that quick, going from a 4:10 to a 3:73 your not going to tell a big difference.

3.42s will give you the best street drivability and boost response on a 6spd car. If you ever go auto, go 2.7x if you like driving on the highway.

Spool it up before you let out the clutch.

i have a set of 2.73 with mine. i can footbrake 10+lbs so it leaves good. 1.56 60' is not all that great. Im gonna go with a 3.23 or a 3.55 in a 9inch later this year.

I really like my 3.50 in the 9". I run a small (T67) front mount, but it's fully spooled at 3000 rpm with 500 rwhp... very fun yet easy on the street.

3.42 would be better. 8lbs? no wonder it is loading up when it was tuned off 4-5lbs.

Yes I am shifting about 6400. I am getting ragged about my driving, but the car just seemed better to drive before the turbo. Considering removing it.

You offered to "correct" my tune Via internet, I asked what to log, you "didn't have the hour to answer my question", when all I wanted was a PID list, the guy from CARTEK took 5 minutes and told me what to log for car performance (THANK YOU WS6Transam01).
I know we tuned the car for 4 PSI, but there are issues with the car! It was faster around town before the tune, and Now the car bucks at 1500 RPM so bad that I have to put in the clutch, I am getting about 13MPG shooting 1 foot flames out the tailpipe on decel, and it falls on it's face at 3500 RPM's. Ya I will take blame for SOME driver error, but other people have driven the car and in the car have asked where the low end went. I have mentioned there are issues, but you kinda ignore it. So I guess I can come down on dyno day and pay more money and ask you again pretty please to take a look at this. If it is the car fine, I will fix it, but I am getting tired of running in circles.
