Default t-66 with stock motor for 550 rwhp. or suggestions on turbo

i tried the search and i couldnt really find anything...

im looking for around 550 rwhp. i have stage 3 806 casting heads and im going to go with a 2002+ ls6 camshaft.

i have a 6 speed and plan on upgrading:rearend, driveshaft, and clutch.

i want to keep stock bottom end and tranny as long as possible.

im starting to peice my own kit together and work at an exhaust shop so piping isnt a problem.

but i bought a cross over pipe to work with shorty headers for a crazy good deal. it has a t4 flange.

so is a t66 a good turbo for my 550 rwhp range on a stock bottom end/tranny car. i dont want to spin past 6700 tops due to the range of the camshaft.

if anyone has a good recommendation on a turbo let me know.

I would go with a TC76. Spools fast and will leave you room for future growth.

It says it will support 1000hp, doesn't mean you can't turn it down to 400rwhp if you like.

If you honestly never intend to run over 550rwhp i'd get a turbo rated for 7-800 or so. It'll spool quicker than a 76 and have tons of power everywhere. If it were me i'd go bigger but I would turn it up later...

If you saw the TC-76 it is small. I have one. It will spool very fast probibly the fastest spooling 76 around.
