HKS Bov users inside I have a few questions on the HKS BOV .
I have the ssqv version installed in my truck
What do i do to tune this thing in ?
also what is it supposed to sound like when it blows off so far it sound like a fluttering
noise when it goes off I'm not sure that it's dialed in.
any ideas or input would help

Re: HKS Bov users inside It flutters when i let off the gas . for Example i rev it on park and it sort of flutter open not like the ATI valve at all
I gotta get the tech 2 on it check how things are i put a smaller pulley on it 3.6"
not the 4" it came with don't wanna blow any thing up
gotta make sure i have enough fuel to cover the extra boost
gonna go out tonite and do some tuning

Re: HKS Bov users inside Fluttering means the spring is too stiff and its not actuating properly. Loosen the adjustment. When you let off at full boost, it should make a nice "whoosh" sound. If you set it too loose, it will leak boost. The HKS in general works good on higher boost applications. Like the Tial and other "racing" bov, it flutters and doesn't full actuate at lower boost levels. If you adjust it down and it still flutters, run more boost

Re: HKS Bov users inside my sskqv makes a way high pitched ssheew! when i come out of a good amount of boost..
to adjust it, back off the screw all the way and tighten it until it just barely stops leaking air past it.

Re: HKS Bov users inside You want it to stop leaking at the maximum boost you run, other wise it will leak boost. So if you run 10psi, pressurize your intake to 10-11psi and adjust the BOV so it doesn't leak.
