Default silencing a turbo car

i got a 2002 z28 with the sts turbo kit , shortie headers, straight pipes, what can i do to silence this thing? I have driven past several cops and they just give me dirty looks. would a resonater help? can something involving a cutout work so that it can be a quieter daily driver but still be able to flow open pipe when i need it to any advice would help thanks.

Long tubes, and pipe the blowoff back into the exhaust, then put a muffler back on it. If you have to, cut the rear storage area out for extra room in the rear.

Straight pipes are silly, but the noise is AFTER the turbo, not in the supply to it.

With STS, no cutout. Waste of time for little to no benefit. Unless you think louder is a benefit.

Stealth C5 has a Burns muffler, maybe look into that. Any muffler will help.

would a muffler create back preasure that might hurt the turbo? i would route the blowoff into the exhaust after the turbo but before the muffler right?

do a search for my exhaust post and you can see how I added 2 bullet mufflers to my sts setup. it's no louder than a mild cat back now.

Personally, I say deal with it. Those STS turbo kits sound so awesome! You had to figure it was going to be loud taking off your muffler and replaceing it with a turbo. Plus if all the cops are doing is giving you hard looks your in good shape. It might tick em off but they probably won't pull you over unless your in a residental neighborhood super late at night in the burbs.

I made a cutout with bullet. Dont put anything pre turbo. Sometimes more backpressure affects boost/turbo

I have a magna flow round bullet after the turbo tucked up next to the storage with a 4 in turn down that you can't even see and sounds exactly like the magnaflow cat back I had on the car before.
