Gauge ? hey guys,
I know its been done but i cant seem to find any info, so im just going to ask what gauges are the people who are running the gauges in the heater vents above the stereo using?
here is a pic of the vents i want the gauges in?

Get an Eboost2 and it'll fit nice and tight in one of those spots. And that's important for that particular gauge, because you'll be pressing buttons on it to set it up and cycle through displays once you're up and running.
For other (smaller) gauges that you won't be touching, careful removal of the vent vanes along with some dremel work will allow you to use the original insert piece as a collar for your gauge. Usually some sort of spacer will be necessary to wrap around the gauge itself to fit it tightly to the collar; I tried a couple different sizes of black speaker wire until I got a good tight fit.

Funny everyone spells gage gauge. Gauge should be used like 12 gauge shotgun or 8 gauge speaker wire. Look on your GM dash and when your fuel gets low it says check gages. Not to be a dick or anything just something I noticed.

I will refer to Webster instead of GM:GAUGE 2 : an instrument for or a means of measuring or testing: as a : an instrument for measuring a dimension or for testing mechanical accuracy b : an instrument with a graduated scale or dial for measuring or indicating quantity
My guess is that it's a GM typo that they've been too embarrassed to correct! But, to be fair, "gage" is also a variant spelling.
More than anyone wanted to know, I'm sure.

Kinda gives you the general idea. If you want a high quality look to the install you're going to need to find/fabricate some sort of bezel trim piece to fill in the gap around the gauge... especially for the small gauges. I'm not too fussy about the appearance, obviously.
