Just a guess, as I haven't heard those terms before.

OLSD = Open Loop Speed Density.

CLSD = Closed Loop Speed Density.

Neither one uses the MAF. Open loop SD does not use O2 feedback to control the fueling once the ECT threshold is met to enter closed loop operation. Closed loop SD uses O2 feedback to correct fueling once the ECT threshold is met for closed loop.

OLSD requires a little bit more time to get correct and is preferred if you are running injector sizes on the edge of what the factory PCM can take.

CLSD doesn't take as much time and typically provides better gas mileage and marginal drivability improvement.

If your setup isn't too extreme I would go with CLSD. If you have some crazy race setup with giant injectors and huge cams go with OLSD.

open loop once the tune is straight you can remove the 02's and run all the race gas you want.. of course you just have to hope and assume that the tune always goes to plan.
