1,000+rwhp & 6-speed
Has anyone here done it? I want to do this and all everyone can do is lecture me about how it's stupid and everything will break and can't be done. All I ask is that those of you that have done it or gotten close, what was your experience? What mods to your T56/what clutch? This is something I may take to the 1/4 mile occasionally for fun, not a dedicated weekend warrior. <--that is what people forget.
G-Force Stage V, Moser 9", and lots of suspension mods. No matter what folks tell you, it takes a lot of finesse to get that much power rolling with an M6. Progressive N2O FTW.
How much $$ did that G-Force V run you and did you have to send them a core? I've already got the 9" under the car and the whole suspension catalog on order. Had planned 2-step and e-boost controller.(progressive through each gear) Car will be running on 325/50/15 MT drag radials.
I work at HPP racing, and most cars that come in are north of 700rwhp...with several running 960-1070rwhp...all street driven with 6spds. With the right tires, and a boost controller...hooking is not much of a problem. Most of them run the Hoosier drag radials in 335/17...can almost dead hook in first from a roll. Same with a new set of MT 315/17's. Nittos on the other hand, will spin on 300 rwhp cars

As far as roll racing...the Dallas area has a large amount of fast highway cars, with several 1200-1300rwhp twin turbo vipers. So people tend to go from a roll too....we can play both games at HPP
