Wow, lots of people on both sides of the fence.I am not sure how you hook a 1000RWHP car on the street in 2nd Gear if you stay in it until it is actually making 1000rwhp in 2nd. You can have DR; E.T Streets; 10.5 W's. It is not hooking on the street from a dig if you are using 1000 rwhp. If you have your boost controller turned down so it only gets to about 60% of actual boost in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, you m ight be able to increase the ramp and boost to get to 1000 at the end of 4th on the street.
It.s is always great to know you have 1000 rwhp if you need it; but you will also have to learn how to use it.

So yeah...On the subject gents. Thanks to the guys that actually gave advice and encouragement on this project. I have no aspirations of building a car like this to drive every day. It's a purpose built car. Purpose: Give me a permanent **** eating grin (perma-grin). I don't give a damn about anyone's auto car. If I wanted to dedicate this one to drag racing I'd just stick with what I've already got. I'll post a time up if I get to run the current set up in September. The only place I really plan to unleash this thing when it's finished is on the dyno and the standing mile, so I'll see ya there. Oh yeah, on the research thing...I'm biding my time on the engine combo. Waiting for new products. As far as the turbo system goes, that's going to be fabricated by a few good friends and I. Like I said, when this thing actually starts getting torn into, I'll start the build thread. I am out of the country right now and will be until next year. Be patient.

When I drove 2000 tran zam's 893whp TA, I brake boosted 2nd gear @ 45mph and hooked(quickly rolled into the throttle) on BFG DR's.
I don't know what tires he had when he first got the car back, but when I drove it (I was the first one of his buddies to drive it), you could not go WOT in second gear at all without blowing the tires, rolling the throttle or not.

I only have 800 RWHP and cannot get traction with ANY 315/35/17 radial tire untill well over 120 mph.

Tractions not as bad as you would think.. When my car made 803rwhp on pump gas it hooked in 1st gear with a 6 speed and 17" nitto drag radial. The new setup will make 1000+++ rwhp with a powerglide. We'll see how that works out!

That was the older dried out 315 nittos... I had 315 bfg DR's on there when we were running it.

The 315 MTs have been out for almost two months I think...I loved my 275s so 315s can only be better.
