Quickin aka Lyle? on the other hand, you've posted those threads for a few years, so why don't you pull the trigger and build a monster combo. Best way to shut up the naysayers is to walk the walk rather than post a new what-if thread every couple of months.... no flames but clearly you have asked about this 5-6 times, I can bring up the old threads.

coming from someone with dyno only vids and no track times that means alot Mine went 10.49 at 144 with zero traction(1.9 60') in full street trim (3990#)with my useless car and only 11psi setting. I could easily tire it put the boost up to 16 and hit 9's on nittos over 150. There not all useless and some of us do it with nothing but pump gas and drive it home

I thought I was arguing about "street duty". My car has seen plenty already

Food for thought too....Mr_president (also my good friend) and his TH400 went 10.22 on only 8 psi....with one of the slower 60's of the day.

His car works (On 8psi I remind you). You have no sense of humor. BFD. Your insults are pointless so lets keep the debate/thread alive.

I'm just saying once you get to a certain level an auto tranny swap nets GREAT Et gain.....and durability....and street potential.

i have no sense of humor?where did you make a joke?i have no problem with you nor did i insult you.youre comparing his th400 equipped car to a 6 speed car, honestly to have those 2 times separated by 2 tenths is quite humorous to me and Purevl was on nittos and i know Tond had a big tire underneath it.not everyone is a hardcore drag racer.i think the thread starter has his work cut out for him if he has dreams of hooking but i also like that its the unusual.it could turn out great like Intimid8's car....or be riddled with problems like 2000 Trans Zam's car. when you watch an 800+hp vette go against a turbocharged Hayabusa,in person, from a roll you would appreciate the raw power and fitness it takes.Especially when the busa rider says how he has trouble since the rear wheel is spinning at 140mph and the front wheel tends to come up at 180mph

food for thought with an auto and tire and real boost/gas mine could go high 8 low 9 ...whats your point?

If my 11psi run was through an auto it would be almost a second faster so lets call 9.49 shall we...thanks though cockymonster I have a sense of humor

And as for street duty mines 100% daily driver and can be driven over 100 miles to and from track. You could do it im sure at 55mph in the right lane while im averaging 22-24mpg at 80. Way to go buddy

shoot yea, running 9's with a 6 speed FI ls1 is easy.. thats why the list is so long..oh wait..

lots of nice cars in here but they're not 9 or 8 second cars untill you have the slip... i dont care if its a race car or a street car you gotta have the slip for it to count.

Street duty as in dig racing.

Never mind. Everyone has a 1k hp car that hangs tire on the street. I forgot.

While I am sure you make the power as a lot of other do also. Running it at the track is a little different than that although I know what you are trying to say as I believe I should be able to run a very low 10 or a very high 9 if all things being perfect, but I have never done it so I won't say I have a 9 second car until I have atleast done it once etc... I think we are getting off track. This is about a 6 spd working in a street car and it most definately will. Is it going to be as fast as an auto probably not, but I like shifting my gears myself and I believe this guy does also. Continue on fellas.

Brake boosting a 893 whp car at 45mph on the street.....I need to be in the driver's seat myself to believe it. Not saying you're lying....just need to see it to believe it kinda thing.
It may not have made more then a couple lbs of boost but when it hit in 2nd gear depending on how hard you hit it, it could blow the tires up...

I did have to pedal it part of the way but for the most part it was going strait.

I'll have to see how it is with the new setup... I'll prob detune it and get my 28" ET streets on there and brake boost that bitch in 1st

I'll make sure to get the boost gauge on film when I brake boost next time too... Im trying to setup some suckers on supra forums to go for a freeway run

Well, not suckers, but you know what I mean lol.

I have never been in a high horse power auto car but my 150hp 4 door work car will spin the tires so i hope that a 1000hp auto car should spin the tires if not some of you guys got ripped off, 1000hp in an auto is still a 1000hp in a manual, my car runs on the street now no different with 1162hp as it did with 450hp when not making boost. A six speed should get better mpg and there is different types of racing, auto crossing a manual might be better, top speed runs might be better, from 50mph roll might be better. Ive think i seen a 8 or 9 second manual viper and if you can run 8s in a 1/4 mile at a track you might not be able to do that on the street anyhow, no one really preps the street. t56 rebuilds and g force makes good 6 speeds that will hold 1000hp. ask a auto guy to race 2 miles in a straight line i would think buy 150 or 160 mph they would be close to redline and a manual would just be shifting into 6th gear and could go 200 to 220mph dont know though never be in a 1000hp auto.
