automatic trans...blowoff valve?
Just a question if you have a 4l60e and put a manual valve body on it? Do you need a blow off valve? I dont really know much about turbos and thought that automatics didnt need them but was wondering if u need them with a masnual valve body.

You need a wastegate for the "hot" side to maintain and control boost and predictability and a BOV for the charge side to save your wheel, couplers, throttle blades... ect...
Regardless of trans, of course.

It's one of those personal opinion type things. I don't run them on either of my auto cars. Some people are dead set against them, some people say you only need them for small shaft turbo's, some people say you must run them on anything that's turbo'd.

I use one on my auto. If I am in full boost and loose traction & let off the throttle mometarily how is that different than a 6 speed? (this happens often) I think it would be hard on components without the BOV
