thinking about turbo
thinking about turbo is there a limit to 6.0 manifolds? i want to build a turbo kit (since its going on a coversion car)
i want to only build it once...i want to do a single front mounted and wanna be able to make around 1000 rwhp later on, for now im only going to run it on a stock motor so maybe around 600 rwhp...seems like a single 88 about right...can make 1100rwhp? and still work decent on my stock cube ls1...later im going to do something like a 370 ci or so....id like to do a 402 but i want the revs, id like to pull 7200 or more so outa it..( i know im going to need valvetrain work...) want to keep a stock ls6 cam probably for ultimate driveability.....
i know a few people have made numbers in the 900-1000 rwhp range, looking for info basically...it will be with a t56....
the plan is to make it a n/a ls1 to get it running...then make it a single turbo ls1...then a built motor single turbo ls1...so i wanted to know if i should look for some 6.0 manifolds, or use my stock ones and build manifolds later?
btw whats the diff in 6.0 manifolds?
and yall high hp guys what are you doing for exhaust after the turbo? i think im going to do an electric cutout in the downpipe with a 3 inch catback...how big of a downpipe are yall running?

also whats the limit on a aluminum block...the whole point of my conversion is the excellant weight distribution with a aluminum ls1 and the total weight of the car...granted it should only add 80 pounds but the turbo kit will also be at least 70 extra pounds....in a 2700 pound car its a decent differance...
