STS boost!!!!

STS boost!!!!
Finally decided to go with a sts for my 2001 A4. I am going with stock internals other than cam for now. With supporting fuel/drivetrain mods, what boost level is recommended the safe point. I know you can't go wrong with 5psi, but I keep hearing 7 and 8 that alot of people run on these engines? Without lowering compression what is considered the safe point for boost level and horsepower? I hope to get 450 to 500rwhp?

Thanks, that was exactly what I was thinking. Injecting windshield washer fluid into you engine? Whats up with that! Also, I have an A4, and it says you don't require a blow off valve. Only manual's do, anybody running sts on A4 without one? I have an eclipse auto turbo'd to **** and never thought of running without one on it.

Your mileage may vary, this is just my own biased opinion.

Running 8psi with a 255 in the back and intercooled, could you get away with #30 for injectors, where do they max out? Or are #42 required? With a goal for between 450 to 500rwhp. I have read that meth injection has no need for bigger injectors being it is a higher octane, I don't believe that though

Thanks guys, I guess it is hard to say unless you have tried the a2a, a2w and meth inject all on the same set up and compared results. I know a2a has its down falls of pressure loss and minimum efficiency but it deffinelty does the trick. I haven't research the a2w much but it just seems a whole lot more to the equation, opting for a more simplified and proven set-up; ata. Methanol seems perfect sense but for a daily driver not sure still on the reliabilty aspects. I am sure it works wonders, especially on a serious street/strip cars. Just doesn't seem right for an application wanting good reliabilty. Having to make sure its always full and working in order to pound the boost????? I checked out that site, seems like a great bolt on FMIC, but I think I am going to buy a universal core and route my own tubes. Save alot of money and probably get close to same results.

I like the tr224 as an all around great cam, just thought that would be great if it worked in a turbo set up too. I guess depends on the LSA I decide to go with. I am thinkning 114 or 115, I should be ok with this cam on 114 LSA. It seems like others run alot more agressive cams and get away with it and have awesome results. I really like reverse splits and ahve also read that these are great turbo cams so I am in that delemma now.
