Few questions.

-Don't these come coated? Why did you send them off to get coated again?
-Can they be wrapped after coating?
-What belt must be used once the alternator is relocated?

Have you noticed any other problems or fitment issues? My understanding is just make sure the plug wires are protected and get a nice turbo blanket and overheating shouldn't be a problem?

Also, does it use stock radiator? What bout the fans?

sry no updates.. other things have came up and i havnt been able to get the rest of the goodies needed...

but to answer a few questions

no they dont come coated, they are shiney because they are stainless steel, im coating them to keep the temps down under the hood, you could wrap them instead but i think coating looks 100x better

yes they can be wrapped after coating..if you choose to do so

and depending on what alternator relocation bracket is used will make the belt size vary.. i have one from smokinghawk, and it uses a 70.5in belt i believe... belts can be picked up by amount of ribs and belt length at discount auto, autozone or any auto parts store... they come in half in increments

It is, but that's just a copy of the PTK kit made in China. Between Presto and his buddy with the Corvette though, those Ebay turbo kits really aren't half bad.

I wasn't meaning that in a negative way, I think those things have good looking welds, piping etc., but I'm not sure that I would use the turbo's themselves.

If this does work you could have a pretty nice quality setup for ~2k, that'd be awesome!
1k for the piping with and IC and turbo to boot, figure in a 1k budget for a turbo and your just about set aside from injectors, tuning etc., Ok, so 3k, but that's still a budget FI build.
Presto, if it's not too nosy please keep track of how much $ you put into this build. I think it will be interesting too see the power you get for the cost of what you have in it.

Agreed on the turbo. 86 it. I bought a couple of them to compare, they are NOT built like the name brand units, and they WILL NOT last like them either. The welds on those headers look freakin BEAUTIFUL though, I'm really into that kit, looks SO nice.

most of these are really mig welded any competant welder can tell just by looking at them especially inside of the pipes at the spatter marks, the welds you see is after they sand the mig welds flat they then weld a tig bead over the mig weld with really low amperage... anyone can make "fake" welds like that by just moving the tungsten back and forth (not proper)
