What cam to run with a T-67 turbo?
My mods are MS4 cam, LS6 stgae 3 heads, forged 346 at 8.5 CR, full bolt-ons, 12-bolt with 3.73's, turbo I am getting is a T-67 for starters. I know the MS4 I have is not good for boost, I wanted to know people opinions, I decided I am going to go custom just wanted to know what a good turbo cam would be, planning on making about 700-750HP for now until I go 88. Did a search but didn't find what I was looking for. Thanks for the help. Wes

I researched this topic alot becasue I was originally gonna go with a turbo now I am opting for a S/C but anywho. Custom for sure, I'd go through the hastle of talking directly to sponsors on your EXACT set-up. Generally reverse split cams and standard are ideal is what I got out of it. LSA is obviously a key factor when boosting either way of coarse. I wouldn't go tighter than a 113. What I was going to settle on was something around 224/224 to 228/228 .581/.581 to .588/.588 and 113/114/115 LSA. All depends on your mods for air intake and exhaust. I could pm you some cams that sponsors reccommended me, I would post but not sure if that would be a good idea. My best words of advise would be not to worry about the cam until the last decision depending on supporting mods. Longtubes, FAST 90/90, etc. If the intake is more on the restricted side get a reverse split, etc. Not sure if it helps you out but thats roughly as far as my wisdom expanded in this category resulting from me changing directions. Let me know if you want me to pm you those reccommended cams???

Well to be honest, from stopping myself from pulling out my hair I was gonna settle somewhere in the middle and opt for a 225/225 .581/.581 114LSA. This was pretty much taking the average of what all was reccommended and pretty dang on for one of the sponsors. Its funny some say something like 207/220 .573/.580 117 and others say something like 232/240 .595/.600 115. Obviously like I said before though, application. Some, like the second mentioned, would most likely want good idle etc and for the third.......well I think you know what they want! Really as long as you don't go too extreme and keep LSA at 114 or 115 I think you'll be ok. Going with something around the first I mentioned you really can't go wrong with. One way I thought of looking at it for myslef was imagining the cam on a N/A car, then simply put your power adder on it. If it would make good results N/A and is user friendly with the turbo/Supercharger than you are Golden. I wish I remebered what thread it was that one guy was running around 14 psi with a cam not mentioned, assuming mild, then swapped it with a blower cam like something I mentioned and went down to 12psi with a crazy amount of power added. Something between 50-80rwhp, see if I can dig it up

I found it, its for a S/C application but may give you a good idea of results! Funny thing is I just bought a very similar cam to the SC1 and never even referred to this thread? Hope it does good once I get everything put together in 2014, or sooner? LOL
