high compression + SC?

Default high compression + SC?

Can I put a SC on my car with the already "high" compression of 11.1:1?

What I'm kind of tossing around is to find a Vortech S-trim (or equivilant) SC and run between 4 and 6 lbs of boost. I'm already reaching the hp limit I set for myself, so its more just to bring the engine up to 100% efficientcy (perhaps get another 50 - 100 hp out of the car....).

Rebuilding the engine with lower CR is not an option at this time. What problems would I have doing what I'm planing? What cures are there for those problems?

11:1 on my LPE top end kit. D1-SC Procharger 4lbs of boost.
Over 500 rwhp. I will be doing my bottom of my engine real soon.
It will be a 348ci maybe 9:1 . Then the boost will be double digits .

You really don't want to mess w/boost w/high compression cars, you start to run into all sorts of problems..

My car with 10.5:1 compression popped at head gasket at 6psi...

93 octane works great for me. You just have to be careful
and dont be over boosting. Right BIGBOS.

Ya thats why I was thankful I didnt, after you posted what happen to you. But I wont boost no more till the bottom end is up to spec. Like urs is going to be . You hoping to go 9:1? I havent ask Tom yet but I hope I can go a lil higher then 12psi. We will see by next year.

9 psi + stock compression + stock bottom end = I'm real careful.

However, 93 Octane is working fine. 8k miles with the blower and detonation has never been heard.

I do not, however, take the car to the track. Part of the "real careful" comment above. Just cruise, show and occasional "lesson" taught on the street. If it regularly saw track duty, then perhaps something would have let loose by now...

Just recently blew past a bike on FM 620, crotch rocket, who was pulling a wheelie trying to get in front of me.

446 RWHP, 463 RWHP with Spectacle's prototype lid. Nowhere near the most impressive numbers on this board, but pretty damn fast in my book.
