Default It runs!!

Well, the Incon turbo TA finally took to the road tonight.

Many thanks to all you guys that have helped me! And thanks to mtnbkr81 and dauber65 who helped with the install work.

After 2 months, and more time/money than I ever thought, I have a road worthy car again. There are some minor things left. I need to fix my exhaust; right now I just welded 2 turndowns on it and it is crazy loud in the cabin with tons of resonance. I also need to get it tuned. I put a very mild and safe tune in it to drive the 12 miles from my dad's to home and that is all the tuning it has had.

Good news is that stuff seems to be working. No leaks of any fluids or air that I have found yet. The 97 vette fuel rail/regulator works beautifully. Fuel pressure tracks just like I expected. Just putting around in the car I can tell it will be a beast once tuned. I am just running the stock incon WG for now, so it will make about 5 psi.

Now, question for you guys on my exhaust. I would like to know if dual electric cutouts in the ypipe would be worth the time/expense, or should I stick with a single 3" cutout in the I-pipe?

Here are some pics, I have a vid of it but it is 70 MB. Anybody know how to shrink a video?

Almost done:

After the drive home:

Thanks guys. I have not fealt the full fruits of my labor yet, but hopefully the first time I put it to the floor I will.

It is pretty intersting how long these ball bearing turbos spin after the car is shut off. The first time I thought something was still running, but it was just the turbos winding down.

I can't wait to get it tuned so I can have some fun with it. I will definitely get some vids.

Looks good. Its funny how they do not run that well without fuel. Did I not warn you yesterday to put gas in that thing.

It had some gas in it. It also had the brake actuating rod too, which your car lacked

Yep, that is exactly why I did that. I was loading a tune listening to that darn scavenge pump run. I was also worried that might shorten its life too. Stew gave me the idea of using the fuel pump circuit.

i used to unplug it..load the tune...forget to plug it back up until oil was spewing into the exhaust and into the discharge pipes....and you know what a pain it must be to clean the discharge pipes. if you forget to plug it up or it quits working, you will know...the car will smoke like it is on fire!!!!!!!!

I'm 100% for getting electric cutouts. The twins sound so good when they're uncorked.

Mine sounded terrific when it had the open Y on my initial start-up @ 10pm in an apartment complex.

It got dead quiet when I added the standard SLP D/D cat-back.

Oh, it will have an electric cutout. The questions is whether I shold go with dual electric cutouts or just a single one in the I-pipe. I am leaning towards the single in teh I-pipe since I already have that setup from my n/a days.

I say just leave the dumps on it right now. It can't be that loud. I think we should have an exhaust competition tonight at Culvers to test it.
Hey doesn't this guy look like Fatback McSwain?
