single turbo on a4s What kind of gains are people seeing with the ls1motorsports on an A4. Is their 7psi really safe for a stock internals engine? Could a boost controller be adapted to this system?

Re: single turbo on a4s Mines a M6, but I dyno'd 436/485 at 7lbs on a Mustang dyno with the LS1 intake and all stock longblock (except the upgraded 918 springs). It's typically agreed that one would see closer to 475/525 on a Dynojet.
Taking an extra 5% loss for an auto and adding 20rwhp for the LS6 manifold, you're looking at around 467/514 on a Dynojet. No small potatos.
I've only got around 300 miles on the kit, but it runs flawlessly. My motor had less than 8% leakdown on all cylinders, so it was in good shape to start.
I build my own Grainger BC, it works perfectly.

Re: single turbo on a4s Thanks for the reply. I'm putting down approx 319rwhp with 380rwtq now. My best was 11.85 @ 113.5 so with good air I can get close to 400rwtq. So I'm going to guess 469rwhp and 550-600 rwtq. That should be good for some low 11s high 10s. 
Re: single turbo on a4s Just mt 2 cence.Isnt the comp ratio a little to high or should I say to close for comfort for a stock short block?Plus you would have to run good gas all the time.Correct?10.5:1 is a little high for a turbo motor,I know it's only producing 7-8#'s but detonation kills.My 89'tta can only run 14#' without detonating and its 9.2:1.Correct me if I'm wrong but thats just what i think.

Re: single turbo on a4s stock comp ratio is 10.1...and im not expecting my motor to last forever. i will have a very accurate dyno tune and be running roughly a 11.5/1 a/f ratio at al times. i think it will last for quite some time (my car is not a daily driver)but hopefully ill have the funds to rebuild before it does, say a year down the road.

Re: single turbo on a4s Boost controller isn't an issue. I'll probably be running the Greddy E-01 controller. Mine wil be put together before yours so if you like you could just stop by Jasons when its complete and take a look.
