OK guys-

Just a few questions..

To use the STS Turbo -

1.) My beloved GMMG will have to disappear?
2.) I'll have to go back to stock manifolds and nix the Hooker LT's?

I am currently planning a heads/cam swap, but a turbo sure would be sweet..

Where does this thing mount on the car? Anyone have any pictures?

I've been debating going back to my stock system, but I think I have other issues to worry about right now. On my STS @ 10psi w/ the same cam 99z28 has I'm only putting down 478. That's how much I put down at 8psi w/o the cam. Maybe lowering my compression ratio took away that much horse power.

I would recommend going back to the stock manifold and exhaust system. You'll wish you did it later.

Someone should start a thread about "STS Haters...please come in and bash us." It would interesting to see the results .

I feel pretty rock rock when my car goes into boost and I'm only at 6ish-PSI. Granted it's no H/C/N2O drag-car package, but I didn't have to spend near the money as those guys cuz they need the whole clutch/rear-end/large ***** combo.

My kit came with the large ***** package but I sold it to V6 Bird because I already had plenty to handle...and he had none .

reocamaro I'm interested to hear more about your setup. any leaks? building full boost? any more details on how the cam looked/is performing with the added boost?

I'm dropping a tick or so due to LQ9 as well (assuming you went with similar heads) and interested to see if the car responds well to less comp but more boost. I hope the cam works well.

I'd like to see some interior videos when running(tachometer, speedometer, other guages), pictures of the interior(aftermarket guages), and pictures and videos of the setup from behind the car, please!

Thanks.

I may or may not have an exhaust leak. I am throwing p0171 and p0174. But not at the same time, I will usually throw one and then the other. Mainly however I've been throwing just p0174, leak bank 2. I've tried to look for leaks, but I can't for the life of me find any. I'm not having any problem building full boost. I do 10# all day. I'd like to attach a dyno sheet of the latest dyno pull, this isn't my thread and I don't know how to add a picture. I should be pushing passed 500 blindfolded. Does anyone know how much a single walbro 255 lph fuel pump w/ 60# inj. should support?

enough, i can tell you that. that's the set-up i run currently on 5.5-6psi

there is something wrong if you are on 10psi and not making atleast 530ish rwhp.

TRT and i predicted that once i get my leak fixed to 7.5psi, i should be around that rwhp

I have a single walbro 255 and 60#er's, and the fuel pump was losing pressure fast at 465 rwhp, and about 500 rwtq. I think I have a bad connection at the battery for the hot wire, and that might be contributing some, but it is very possible that you're out of pump. It might be worth adding a fuel pressure gauge to see if that's what is happening.

It's in the mail. It should be getting here tomorrow by fedex's account. OP, I hope you don't mind casual discussion, I think it'll help you. When you get your STS kit, you'll have all the a few problems (and solutions, hopefully) all on the same page.

Thanks.
Mine are in this order starting at the bottom:
-wideband
-boost
-fuel pressure
Buttons to the left just recall the low/high and menu settings, ect. I put an LED to the right of each guage and set it up so that if fuel, AFR, or boost goes over a certain amount, it lights up.

The only thing you cant see is on the right side (towards the driver) is another LED and purge switch for the meth. The pillar pod is from autometer

uh..PLENTY.. you would be fine with 42#ers and the walbro, but i wouldn't take the 60#er dive so quickly , if you have already i bet you have a rich idle
