boost and fuel psi are good to have. an airfuel and egt are also good ones to have if you dont mind the extra gauges. id place the sensor in your #7 primary as that is typically the first cylinder to go lean

I drilled and taped my manifold right before the turbo for a pyro last weekend. The sensor is installed, but I haven't wired it up to EFILive yet, but plan too.

to add, an EGT gauge can be used for a number of things... seeing if something is going lean, knowing when your egt is optimal for boost, etc

do you use HPtuners? i know they have inputs for various types of sensors. i have my wideband wired up to the MVPI pro so it logs as we go. i was wondering if anyone logged teh EGT with the HPtuners or even fuel psi? i have a electric fuel psi guage but havent wired it up to the MVPI pro yet...not sure if i can

Does EGT have any importance in a SC setup? Or is it really only important for turbos?

I could be mistaken, but I don't think HPT has inputs for K-type thermocouplers (EGT). I looked on there site real quick, but I couldn't find what all the input where. The other things you could log, as long as you could find some 0-5v senders for them.

I had planned on using a pyro in addition to a wideband.

I have Greddy EGT installed in my no7 header tube...

VEMS offer a dual digital wideband/EGT gauge....very handy !!!
http://shop.vems.hu/catalog/product_...9d573da313f68a

This is a seller in Europe, but Im sure there are places in the US selling them ??

1INSANEGTO...

Ive also used Innovate's TC-4....it can handle 4 K type Thermocouples, and do the usual Innovate logging etc, as well as daisychaining with LC-1, or another TC-4 for 8 thermocouples.
Only used one when I was using it though. For a multiple EGT gauge, its pretty cheap.

Quick Reply: pyrometer gauge or EGT
