Bob,
Just checked the car out on the site. That thing looks awesome. It will be interesting to see how the glide works out. Should really help out on the traction. Have you dynoed it with the new trans combo?
I wish the race was in a month!!! Would love to see it run. Maybe we'll have to head south with the two cars this winter.
Good luck and tell Ted to keep it Sunny Side up!!

Update from Memphis. With the Powerglide and a convertor that is still slipping, we managed to run a 9.654 at 142.67. The 60 ft time was a 1.446, and would of been better but the car stood straight up and had to be peddled to keep from ending up on it's top. On it's way down to the ground, it stood straight up again when it hit 2nd gear. Brent said he could see the whole hood from the starting line!
We're going to see if we can swap converters this morning. Bob

We looked for you as well, I heard you parked over by Texas Speed but we didn't find you. As you would drive in from the front gate, we're over to the right. Did you see us put the car on the back bumper, it came down, then Ted hit 2nd gear and it did it again! It put a hole in the oil pan, and took out the thrust bearing. Madman welded up the pan for us, we're still looking for a thrust bearing, standard size. Bob

Sounds good, we were talking about getting a bearing out of one of those engines as well. No, the glide didn't calm it down. The pass before this one it did a 1.298 60 ft on street drag radials, so the glide is working. Bob
