Default STS Questions

Would an STS kit be worth it? how much boost could a stock ls1 handle? How long would the engine last? i realize the tranny would probably be the first to go but im not worried about that. thoughts comments suggestions are all welcome. Thanks!

Read the threads that have been "stickied" to the top of the forced induction section. They have all your answers to each question you asked.

STS is good for decent power, i make decent HP with my STS but i really dislike the clearence issues, and to be honest i dislike how u have all that piping but otherwise, if u do it right and get it tuned and such u will make power. A ls1 stock can handle 7-8 psi, i run 5-6 in my car to be safe. but if u want a turbo car and dont have the money for a front turbo, go STS.

There's ~500rwhp STS cars on here running 5psi, I wouldn't call that a turd.

there was something wrong with the car you raced then if a bolt on car was keepin up. you can make 400 to the wheels with no prob. You can make high numbers with it if you want.
