should I go STS or Procharger?

I see too many sts kits just become the temp setup until they can afford a front mount... And lets not start a pissing match about the sts kit. Facts are known that it just is nothing compared to the front mount. KBracing96 on here ran a 14.7 with a sts on his 4.8 GMC ECSB 4x4 and with a front mount and same tune ran a 13.2. This was at a DA of 8000+ feet.
So i suggest the procharger. For simplisty, and cost.

New or used, an ATI ProCharger is a great way to go. If going used, look for an ATI ProCharger D-1SC 1GJ204-SCI kit, which is an eight rib kit with the larger 4.5" intercoolers. It may cost you a little more initally, but it will be cheaper in the long run than upgrading a six rib kit to the eight rib kit, plus the intercoolers are one inch thicker. The eight rib kit requires the use af an aftermarket harmonic balancer made by ATI Performance Products. Bob

So I guess you don't have an alternator or A/C. And you must also have an electric water pump and manual stearing. Hmmmm if so, sounds like a race car to me, not a street car.

Procharger means worse gas mileage, that's bad for a daily driver.
I got my STS kit and I was skeptical at first, and it still isn't installed, but the quaility of all the parts amazes me.
I'm sure you'll be happy with either.

Procharger guys (and vendors) are going to be biased towards, you guessed it...the Procharger. What a surprise.
Same for those of us running STS.
Get what you want. What all the rest of us want is irrelevant in your application. Do unbiased research and make a choice that's your own. You'll be happier in the long run.

Uhh...I'm no expert or anything, but I'm definitely gunna call bullshit on that one...you added something to your car that makes your engine have to work harder to turn a pulley...more work for the engine means worse gas mileage, right?
The same can't be said for a turbo as it uses resources(exhaust gases)that are already there. STS even claims a 1-3 MPG increase with their kits.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You already have a forged motor so either way you should be as reliable as FI can be. I have driven many turbo and supercharged cars and both can make more power then you could possible want. The biggest difference between the two are as follows:
Turbos: power comes on with increased exhaust flow which means the power comes on at various speeds and quite fast. On the street power can come on at low rpms and blow away your tires. Turbos also tend to make a little more torque then superchargers.
Superchargers: power comes on very linear because it is rpm dependent which makes it much easier to control. It is a smooth progression of power and the big power is in the higher rpm range. Superchargers will do better at the track do to more controllable power and power in the upper rpm band where you will be racing.
I am biased towards superchargers because I have one, but trust me, they easier to drive and are more reliable.

Faster acceleration means less time you are pushing it to get into cruise. This has not been the case with my T/A, I have got less MPG with it, but I am also making way more power than I did with my LT1 Z28.
hmmm.. thats odd... ever GM vehicle i have ever has (i think about 6 now) has always ran 300 miles to the tank... every last one of them (including my 96 t/a). It was like they changed the size of the tank according to the motor fuel consumption.. haha.
