Sweet! Good luck with the install. You will enjoy it once on the car. Mine had been a lot of fun to drive! Over 1,700 miles on it already.

This isnt your ordinary aps tt install, its going on a 1974 to be older camaro(rebuilding the chassi now), with ls1 m6, new 9" rearaxl, full martz chassi treatment, willwood brakes just to much to list . But I have to say this is the second time this year I got loads of new parts, and I were really looking forward getting this kit and my new 9" shortend, detroit locker, 4.11, 35 spline(puh), aluminum housing hopefully by late next year the car will be finished

I would change those gears out for a little more friendly turbo gears...

I got those gear's because I would rather have a more user friendly gear at the top, this is going to be a pro-touring camaro not only a drag racer, now i get to use my six gear, but with 3.42 it would have been almost useless.

I know 6th gear is pretty much useless (unless you're going 90mph or above) but 4.11's are gonna have a much harder time building boost...

Well keep hearing this but on the boosted lists on this forum there are many very fast cars running like 3.73s not sure how many running 4.10s. On a six speed car a bit different from autos. Autos have advantage of building boost with stall converters and manuals should get a two step. Not sure why so far dont see any antilag options in programming like have on my dsm cars. I am going most likely to 3.73 in my new rear end and not overly worried. If go auto might swap down to 3.54. I am going with strange dana 60 rear end.

The small turbos that APS has used in the f-body tt kit should cure this building boost (hope so), anyway 4.11 would suit an m6 better than 3.73 (hope so).
The reason I ordered 4.11 is all based on what I have read on Pro-touring.com and Lateral-g.net hopefully it will be alright.
Check it out !

PS:This is my first turbo project :-)

My car has the stock 3.42's and builds boost over 2,000 rpm's with full boost around 3,500 rpms. From what I understand the lower gears load the engine up more and help build boost faster. The other day I was accelerating up a slight hill and it totally loaded the engine and boosted quickly. All of the sudden I was spinning my tires.

Good luck with the install and make sure you keep us all fully up to date with your F body project.

Tnx peter, the tt system looks awsome and the finish is superb. I dont think the system will be put on the car before late next year, to many other things to do (need more money to:-), and I want all the new engine parts before before I start with the tt system
